Portable Electroshock Machine (Defibrillator)

A Defibrillator or portable electroshock machine is one of the vital medical equipment that is implemented for patients who have a heart attack. This product transfers powerful electrical currents to the electrodes which installed on the patient’s chest and gives heart muscles a sudden shock. This portable product is used in operation rooms and ambulances. Designing this product must be based on the standards of designing medical equipment, ergonomic considerations and analysis of user interactions. Body’s resistance, impact strength and water resistance must be considered high in designing this product because of the context of use in critical and dangerous situations. Regarding the portability and small size of this product, it is hard to apply all necessary details on the body, but we encountered this challenge and solved it well. Usability and arrangements of the keys are considered according to the usage scenario in user interaction part of this machine. Competitive capability with other products, specially the imported ones, is another important point in designing this product.

  • Electrodes, handle and body are integrated (without bumps)
  • Simple and minimal form of the frontal surface provides more focus on the monitor for users
  • Simplification of keys’ arrangements for the device’s interface
  • Body’s resistance against impacts and falling according to its materials and forms on the body
  • Proper Ergonomic design for transportation, designing user interaction and angles of electrodes
